I can admit that as a therapist, I’ve had my fair share of burnout. What can you expect after working in a jail, rape crisis center, and non-profits your entire career? Those environments breed burnout.

In the process of trying to cure my burnout, I became a yoga teacher. Guess what? I was still burnt out… No amount of breath techniques or yoga poses magically fixed my life.

That’s because burnout isn’t an issue caused by a negative mindset or lack of dedication. Burnout is a symptom of a greater issue. Once I realized that, I made a major life shift and reignited excitement and joy into my personal and professional life.
