Servant leadership and social justice are the values that led Davia Roberts to the counseling profession. After years at a non-profit organization dedicated to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, Davia observed how vicarious trauma significantly impacted the wellbeing and work performance of helping professionals. She knew that exposure to such high levels of trauma wouldn't be sustainable unless there was a drastic change. As a result, she made the bold decision to create programs and resources for helping professionals to sustain their emotional and physical wellbeing.
Her commitment to mental health and wellness extends to the wellness platform she founded in 2015. Her platform, Redefine Enough, has become an international resource for women of color to explore holistic wellness, especially with the popular AFFIRM podcast.
Her expertise in the wellness field has led her to teach at national conferences and lead workshops about mental health, secondary trauma, and mindfulness practices for workplace sustainability.
